MCP for Trello

Trello has an official MCP server now — use that one.

Atlassian shipped a first-party Trello MCP server. It's built and maintained by Trello, which makes it the better choice for new setups. This project is no longer the recommended way to connect Trello to an AI assistant.

How to connect

  1. In Claude, go to Settings → Connectors → Add Custom Connector
  2. Enter this URL:
    https://mcp.trello.com/v1
  3. Authorize the Trello workspace you want to give access to

Setup for other clients is covered in Trello's MCP documentation.

What you get

OAuth 2.0 with workspace-scoped access, on every Trello plan. Works with Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code, and Gemini CLI. Two things worth knowing up front: each connection covers a single workspace, and your assistant can archive cards and lists but can't permanently delete them.

This server is still running. Existing connections to https://mcpfortrello.com/mcp keep working, and no shutdown date is set.
